Celebrate National Relaxation Day With Us

National Relaxation Day (15th August) is your reminder to relax!

It’s very easy to get carried away with work, responsibilities and social plans but me-time is essential for our mental health and wellbeing. Here’s our favourite ideas for celebrating National Relaxation Day…

Start the day with a cup of tea

First thing on your to do list is to grab a cuppa! And if you’re feeling extra fancy, you could try a super relaxing tea like chamomile or green tea. Fill up your mug, go somewhere cosy and relax as you wake up.

Get reading

There’s nothing like a good book to help you relax! Step away from those screens that we spend all day in front of and focus your mind on something much more enjoyable. Reading a book is scientifically proven to reduce symptoms of stress too.

Pamper, pamper, pamper!

A little selfcare is sometimes all we need. Whether you enjoy taking a hot bath, popping on a face mask, or even heading out to the spa…this is the perfect day for it.

Roll out the yoga mat

Yoga is a great form of exercise for relaxation and connecting the mind and body. It will leave you feeling refreshed! If yoga isn’t your thing…we recommend trying out the yoga mat for some good old meditation. This is a great way to de-stress and improve your mindset.

Head outdoors

Breathing fresh air is an instant mood booster and great tactic for encouraging relaxation! You could go out for a walk, bike ride or simply sit outside and enjoy your surroundings.

Journal to your heart’s content

Dump all those negative thoughts, feeling and causes of stress onto a piece of paper. Emptying your mind is a great way to relieve stress and help you to feel less overwhelmed. We also recommend journaling all those positives too! What are you grateful for? What makes you want to get up in the morning? A positive mindset is crucial for relaxation day.
