Our Guide to a happier, healthier mind

It’s hard to remember to look after ourselves on the inside when there is so much pressure on the way we look and the busy lifestyle that seems to consume many of us. But a healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body! We got together some of our favourite ways to a happier, healthier mind.

The importance of “me-time” and getting a breath of fresh air

I’m sure we can all vouch for this one! It’s important to dedicate time to yourself, to relax and reflect on the things happening around you. We recommend taking this outside- there’s something about breathing the air outside that allows you to calm and feel more in touch with the world. Whether that be sitting down for a picnic in the park, going for a walk in a field or just making sure you step outside of work on your lunch to give yourself a break from that environment.

Embrace what makes you unique

Self-acceptance and self-love are crucial for a happier and healthier mind! It has a huge impact on how we live our lives; our attitude to getting out of bed in the morning, our motivation to push boundaries in our careers, our interest in exploring our passions. It is the key to getting the most out of our lives! And once you love and accept yourself (including your flaws!) you’ll learn to accept love from others too.  

Get your body moving!

Dancing (or any cardio for that matter) releases endorphins that help relieve pain or stress and therefore, gives you a boost of happiness. Not only will it keep you healthy physically, it’s scientifically proven to make you happier. Better get your dancing shoes on then!

Treat Yo’self

We all deserve a treat every now and then, make the effort to reward yourself for being you! It’s time we celebrated ourselves a little more. Here’s a few of our ideas:

-Make plans to go away for the weekend

-Eat your favourite comfort food, yum!

-Redecorate your room

-Book yourself a facial
